Account Protection
Coverage for cash and securities in protected client accounts is provided from two sources. The Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) protects up to $500,000, of which $100,000 may be cash. In addition, Pershing provides net equity protection on cash and securities beyond the coverage provided by SIPC through a commercial insurer, Customer Asset Protection Company (CAPCO). CAPCO is a New York-licensed insurance company with an A+ credit and financial strength rating from Standard and Poor’s.
